Terms and Conditions Once we know your preferences, we will check availability and make a provisional booking in your name, for the accommodation. You will receive a confirmation within 1 to 2 days via e-mail. The payment of deposit (from 15% to 20% of the rental) is required within a short time of receiving our confirmation via e-mail. You'll pay the balance upon arrival. If you prefer not to send credit card information via the internet you are kindly requested to send a fax. Cancellation policy: the deposit (#2) is not refundable, if you cancel more than 15 days before your arrival no other penalty will be applied. If you are forced to cancel within 15 days of your arrival date your credit card will be charged for the first night. The guests in the apartment must be those indicated on the reservation form. If there are modifications, the agency must receive the consent of the apartment's owner. Disregarding these conditions leads to the immediate breaking of the contract without a refund. Guests are expected to maintain a "good neighbor" code of conduct avoiding loud music, shouting, making noise and other behavior which may disturb the building's residents. In the heart of the historical center, a few steps away from the Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's square, our Locanda welcomes its guests in a friendly, elegant and comfortable environment, for an unforgettable stay, in the magic atmosphere of a fascinating enchanting city: Venice.

The Locanda is situated in "Castello", the most easterly and largest district (Sestriere) of the city.

The name probably derives from an ancient tenth century castle that was erected as a defence for the nearby port of San NicolÃ².
The Castello district is the ideal place for those who wish to discover a different Venice from the sumptuous splendors of St. Mark's or magnificent gothic architecture, however finding oneself not too far from the crowded "Mercerie" always full of tourists and busy Venetians.

The Locanda is an ancient eighteenth century house now completely renovated with pleasant rooms in the 1700's venetian style, everyone with air-conditioning (from June to September), telephone, wall-safe and a modern bathroom with shower, sanitary units and hairdryer.

The open beams of the ceilings and the dÃ©cor created by the able hands of Venetian Craftsmen make every single piece a little work of art.

The luminous windows look onto the "Barbaria delle Tole" and the "Calle dell'Ospedaletto" in front of which is the (Church) "Chiesa dei Derelitti", whose faÃ§ade is rich with marbles and sculptures, and was built using a project of Baldassare Longhena.

Particularly characteristic and suggestive is a comfortable room perched on the roof of the Locanda which offers a unique panorama of the roofs, roof-terraces, bell-towers and the "Calli" of the city.
