The Seliano farm is an oasis of peace and tranquillity very near the sea. 45 kilometers south of the Amalfi coast is the archaeological site of Paestum with its three well-preserved Greek temples, a major tourist attraction. This busy farm, the horseback riding center, restaurant, and bed and breakfast all is delightful. The emphasis here is on the preparation of meals using local recipes and their own produce, including fresh mozzarella, most famous in this area. In fact, the owners conduct week-long cooking classes including excursions to local cultural and gastronomic highlights. Pleasantly decorated rooms with tiled floors and family antiques are situated in the farmhouse or adjacent yellow house, with two comfortable living rooms for guests. Truly delectable meals are served out on the covered terrace or in the former stables, a long dining/living room with fireplace and historic paintings. There is an inviting swimming pool for guests. Directions: Exit from the A3 autostrada at Eboli (less traffic than Battipaglia) and head for Paestum. Turn right off the main road (S.S.18) at Paestum and after 1 km turn into the driveway marked Seliano. Pass the main villa (uninhabited) to the main gate and entrance.
