Due to the ever-increasing popularity of the stunning medieval village of San Gimignano, accommodations in the surrounding countryside have flourished. La Casanova is a typical square stone farmhouse with wood shutters and red-tile roof, which you’ll grow accustomed to seeing throughout Tuscany. The bed and breakfast’s exceptional feature is that it enjoys a privileged view of the towers of San Gimignano, an ancient town referred to as the “Manhattan” of the year 1000. Roberto and his wife Monica have updated the bed and breakfast, adding amenities in rooms such as air conditioning, satellite TV, and telephone, and have also installed a swimming pool. Their idea is to offer quality accommodation at competitive rates. Breakfast is served on the outside patio where guests are immersed in breathtaking scenery, before heading out to visit intriguing San Gimignano and the many surrounding villages. This is an authentic wine-producing farm with eight double rooms with private baths and one apartment for two persons. Country furniture characteristic of the region decorates the rooms, whose original architectural features have been preserved. Directions: From San Gimignano take the road toward Volterra.
